Sideline Concussion Management (3 hrs)
Taping principles, guidelines & terminology for any sport taping. Selection & purchasing principles for your teams sport med kit needs. General anatomical terms & contraindications to sport taping.
  • How to baseline test (SCAT, VOMS, King-Devick, Balance)
  • Recognizing Concussions
  • Concussion Classifications
  • Sideline SCAT
  • Emergency room or not?
  • Home treatment options (Pacing and Planning, Sleep Hygiene)

Sport Taping Basics (2hr)
Taping principles, guidelines & terminology for any sport taping. Selection & purchasing principles for your teams sport med kit needs. General anatomical terms & contraindications to sport taping. *This module is a Prerequisite for all Collegiate sport taping courses.*


Sport Taping for Ankle: Level 1 (2.5hr)
Key anatomy, assessment of common injuries & taping techniques for to the ankle.
Prerequisite: Sport Taping Basics


Sport Taping for the Wrist and Thumb: Level 1(3.5hr)
Key anatomy, assessment of common injuries & taping techniques for the wrist & thumb.
Prerequisite: Sport Taping Basics


Sport Taping for Elbow
Anatomy of the elbow including: articulations and major muscle attachments. Assessment of radial and ulnar collateral ligament sprains of the elbow and fracture rule outs.
Taping of Elbow: Hyperextension stop and collateral support


Sport Taping for Shoulder
Anatomy review of the glenohumeral and AC joints, rotator cuff and muscles of the shoulder girdle. Assessment of AC separations, glenohumeral dislocations, rotator cuff tears, clavicle fractures
Taping of Shoulder Injuries: Shoulder separation support and shoulder dislocation stop


Sport Taping for Thigh
Anatomy of the Quad & Hamstring & assess strain & contusion to them
Taping of Thigh Injuries


Sport Taping for Knee
Anatomy of the knee ligaments, bony structures, patella & patellar tendon. Basic assessment of major knee ligaments, patellar dislocation, knee hyperextension & patellar tendonitis
Taping of Knee: Collateral ligament support, de-rotation strips, hyperextension stop, patellar tendon strap

Emergency Action Planning and Injury Prevention (7hrs)
An absolute must for team managers, volunteers, parents, coaches and athletes. Prepare for injuries, emergencies and liability with our training camp designed to cover Sport First Aid Kit Preparation, Emergency Action Principles and Planning, on-field and sideline injury assessment, concussion baseline testing and post-concussion evaluation, treatment of injuries, injury prevention through flexibility, preparing for tournaments.
 

Sport Taping Basics (1hr)
Taping principles, guidelines & terminology for any sport taping. Selection & purchasing principles for your teams sport med kit needs. General anatomical terms & contraindications to sport taping.
 

Sport Taping for Ankle (2hr)

Personal Trainer Series

Personal Trainer Series

This series is an absolute must for personal trainers of all levels and backgrounds!

Do you feel like your clients are constantly dealing with injuries? Does this make it challenging to keep their program going? You try to refer them for therapy and either they don’t go or they are told to stop continuing with their exercises. How do you proceed? What tools can you use first to help them along? Aand if that doesn’t work, where can you direct them?

Key Sports Injury areas of concern in this series includes the knee, shoulder, low back, hip & foot.

This series is designed to review:

  • Relevant anatomy & injury description (including handouts)
  • Common biomechanical errors and weaknesses that lead to the injury
  • Home Program exercises (key items) to get them back on track
  • Overview of the next steps for treatment
