Massage Therapist & Manual Osteopath

Marilee trained at the Alberta Institute of Massage in 2009 and received her Advanced Diploma in massage therapy in 2010. She was trained in therapeutic, relaxation, deep tissue, myofascial release, and trigger point massage, as well as received an advanced level 2 certificate in sports massage.

During her time at Collegiate Marilee has expanded her training and received a Diploma with honor and distinction in Manual Osteopathy in 2018. Manual Osteopathy uses Soft tissue Manipulation, Osteopathic Articular Techniques/Lensen Techniques, Cranial Osteopathy, and Visceral Manipulation techniques to treat the body as a whole, restoring it to its natural state of balance. She has taken courses for advanced techniques in shoulder/rotator cuff, neck, hips, and low back. She has received training in infant massage and is looking forward to offering classes and sharing with parents how to massage their little ones. She is also a Saito Komyo Reiki Shihan (teacher) and practitioner and is very excited to be able to share this with others. She is continuously learning and growing.

Marilee enjoys being active, spending time with her animals, doing yoga, and skating. She has a creative side to her and dabbles in painting. She played many school sports while growing up but mostly enjoyed playing volleyball and badminton.

With such a diverse background, experience, and education she continues to share this passion with every client that floats into her space, enjoying helping them to feel better and grow.

Marilee Olesen joined the Collegiate Red Deer Downtown team in January 2015 as a Massage Therapist.
