Riley was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and attended school in nearby Lumsden. Growing up, he played a ton of high level sports such as competitive soccer, football, and golf.
In high school he developed a passion for sport and a keen interest in how the body moves. This lead to him perusing and obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Honours, graduating with great distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in spring 2015.
After graduation, he worked as a Research Assistant for the College of Kinesiology as well as a Physical Activity Consultant for the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.
Riley then entered the Master of Physical Therapy program at the U of S and convocated from the Physiotherapy program in Fall, 2018.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys the fresh air of the mountains, being at the gym, spending time with his wife, and reading. He still stays active today with recreational slopitch, disc golf, soccer, volleyball, and dodgeball. Riley really tests his athleticism by training the Olympic lifts and enduring Crossfit.
