Sam Jacobi

Desiree is a Certified Athletic Therapist with the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association and an Athletic Trainer Certified with the Board of Certification (USA). She has practiced full-time since graduating from Sheridan College with High Honors Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences (Athletic Therapy) in 2018. Desiree continues to enhance her knowledge through various courses and is looking to pursue a Master’s Degree in applied Neuromechanics and Sports Medicine in the coming years. She has recently completed the Evidence-Based Fitness Academy (EBFA) Barefoot Training Specialist Level 2 Certification and is working on a Mental Performance Mastery Coaches Certification course.

Desiree has enjoyed and continues to enjoy where her Athletic Therapy career takes her. She has worked with provincial, national, collegiate, and semi-professional sports teams within various sports (rugby, football, hockey, and lacrosse). Desiree also has experience working with pre- and post-operative knee, hip, and shoulder conditions, as well as custom bracing, osteoarthritis, and chronic pain clientele. She likes to use a wide range of manual techniques, exercises, and education to work with her clients on returning them to or beyond their pre-injury state.

When Desiree isn’t at the clinic or working with the Jr. A Olds Grizzlys hockey team, she likes to spend time with her furry friends, travelling, and playing women’s sports.
